geckos

Mom asked about the lizards, so I thought I would tell you all. Saturday was the first time we saw one in the house. We came home from the grocery store and there was a black one in our family room,. Britta was trying to catch it. Then the other night after we were all up in bed I realized I needed to put Britta's shorts in the dryer for school the next day, so I came down and there were two crawling around. A big pink one and a tiny, baby black one. It is a little weird. Luckily they are scared, so they stay away from you. So many strange things to get used to here. We'll have things to talk about forever. Everyone make sure you have skype or vonage set up on your computers cause I am going to bug SPen this weekend to get it set up. loves, loves and more loves and please more blogging and e-mails! CRAZY BUNCH!!!!

Happy Day!

Hi to everyone!!
So fun to talk to Ali and Ash. I will call others soon I hope. Anslie and Britta did well their first day of school. Britta had a pj party. Anslie's teacher said she already fits in as if she has been their all year. We have found a "helper" we want to hire. Her name is Jovie. We just have to do all the paperwork now. We had two families over tonight for a banana split party. I really went out on a limb considering we have no kitchen stuff and hardly anything in our house. But it was fun! I told them our kids need Singapore cousins because they miss theirs like crazy! We had a happy day and love you all so much! Sorry, I tried to post a picture of us at the Zoo Night Safari, but it won't come up. I'll try again later. Joce

mom update

Dear family, It's so fun to get the update from Stevens both as a blog and on e-mail. We went to Caydens basketball game this sat. morn at 10;00 and he is a good little player, it was fun to watch, as was Casons game on thursday. It's fun to watch the second generation sport nuts in this family, and all the good exersize they are getting, and learning to be a team player which is alot of what this life is all about. Working together to help each other be successful. Then we went to Cameron Williams funeral. He was a 25 year old return missionary that died of stomach cancer. He was Paul and Alice Manns grandson and Tyler Manns nephew. His parents Dave and Paula Williams live in our stake and we work out at the gym every day with Dave his dad. It has been very inspiring watching this family of faith go through this huge trial. Very Testimony strengthening for us. The good news of the Gospel is so true

Hey everyone, I don't know if I know how to do this right but we will see. Im not so good at this technology stuff. It is so fun to read what everyone says to eachother and hear how you all are. Joce, Im so glad to hear you guys are doing well. I think of you and your cute family all the time and miss you guys so much. And Jer, its good to hear how you are. This will be a good way to keep in touch with everyone. I just got on and started looking at all the posts and I love it. I haven't been among the living for a while now but feel like I am on my way back. I can't thank you all enough for all your help with my kids this past week. Wow. I think I may have been hit by a truck and then backed over again. Im so sure it will all be so worth it in the end. But had I known I may have thought twice. Joce, don't be discouraged Im sure it will be much easier for you. Anyway thank you all again for your help. Rhonda what would I do without you?!?!?!! You are amazing. Well I don't know how to do pictures yet but will learn soon so for now I just wanted to say Hey and tell you all that I love you. And miss the Stevens So Much!!

Who needs a professional the kids take great pics of each other

Cute Cousins!! Miss ya Brtt

We're alive and well

I think we got this thing figured out, my computer had been blocking it and Steve had to figure it out for me. Off and running. Jer this will be a great way to stay in better touch with you. Keegan is so cute.

Joce, I ran into Barbie when I was signing Kline up for preschool, he's going to be in Mrs. Rodobough class with Zion. Anyway Barbie gave me a big hug and said they are missing you guys desperately and hope to here from you soon, they've emailed you a few times. I told her you have been rediculous busy. Ans, Dav has been asking for you, and Kline keeps telling everyone about Singapore and how his friends went there. We are all doing much, much better though. Everyone is healthy, it's been pretty pleasant around here actually and I haven't been feeling so close to the brink of my sanity. Speaking of sanity are we sure mom is? Look at this pic, crazy woman on a scooter. You're the best mom, always keeping things exciting. I'm glad to here you are mostly doing well Stevens. Dad was so excited to talk to you. I feel a bit like you've all dropped off the face of the earth not being able to talk to you yet. What an adventure, I can't wait to come see it all.
We're going to the boat show tonight if anyone wants to come. Dad we'll pick out a boat for you!! Don't worry. Gotta go I here Ella, Aniston and Dav all waking up from there naps.
Loving you, Ali

Cute Best Cousins

whew!!

Hi to our cute fam!! Jer I am so glad to be able to keep in touch with you. Brit and I are here reading all your blogs crying. We do great until we see and hear from you all. We really like Singapore. We did so much with Terry and Mardeen while they were here and just took them to the airport this morning. We saw all the cool sights, went to China town twice, got a lot of stuff to set up our house, we have eaten at lots of the the local hawker centres and we saw the lion dance last night. The girls all have friends already. They walk to 7-11 together and get slurpees with them. We have great people in our neighborhood. We met Ans and Britta's teachers today. They are great and I think they will both love school. Tonight we walked to the Hawker centre, (outdoor eating place) to eat and on the way it started raining, so we borrowed umbrella's from a neighbor on the way. When we got there the rain was coming down in sheets! Then in 10 minutes gone. Welcome to Singapore! Tomorrow is a big fair at the school so we will go to that and then someone in the ward is moving so we are going to see what she is selling. We need some bookcases and stuff. We are cruisin all over on the MRT and in our car on the wrong side of the road! Pretty crazy. We are happy and the Lord is definately watching out for our family. We have been so blessed. My cute little Stelly is struggling like Peyt. She is so whiney and more babyish. I know she is just trying to adjust and she misses you guys so much. Ava is doing well. Lisel's school is tough, but she is even tougher and she will do great. Spen is always busy setting up some TV or computer or shopping for electronics. I am busy trying to get organized and make this place seem like home without any of our stuff. Hopefully it will arrive soon. We have borrowed bedding from one neighbor, dishes and kitchen stuff from another and bought a few neccessities. I am hoping to get Spen to help me do pictures soon. But until you all come visit you won't get it, so get booking your flights we will have a ball! What's up with Ali, no blogging? and is Mandy doing ok? Love you all so much! Joce and Lis and Brit

The Three Amigos

I had to put this picture up because I miss Stelli's cute cheezy, squinted grin. She is the cutest thing ever. I can't wait to see her again. I remember that day and they ha so much fun playing at Nan and Pop's. Peyt and Stelli kept playing babe and hun. Stelli I hope you know how much we love and miss you. Peyt misses you the most I think, He has been having major temper tantrums since you left. Wait Dev and I were just talking about how we need to follow the spirit in parenting our kids. I have been praying to him for help with Peyt. As I was righting this it came. Be understanding, patient and teach with love, his best friend just moved away. He doesn't deal well with change. After we had Beckham he did the same things he has been doing lately.. I am so thankful for the spirit. Loves to everyone

start over

My last three posts didn't go because I didn't push post. Why am I such a slow learner. It's so fun to see a picture of Keegan and Soda. Is that in your new house or the apartment.? I'm so proud of you sharing your testimony the first Sunday, and telling them you are ready to be put to work. Thats how to make friends fast in your new ward, and get involved fast. We sure need our ward families. Right now as we speak, Liz Cutler is letting Ruby out to potty because I've been at Mauri's most of the day. We all need to serve and be served. Joce where are you? Ii guess you are very busy getting settled and seeing your folks off. How did they like Singapore? E-mail Mardeens phone so I can call her when they return. Cameron Keith just got his mission call to Billings Montana GO CAMERON! I'm starting to put lots of weight on my nearly healed broken leg. So good bye crutches pretty soon.Yah hoo! We love you Jer we love you Joce and the rest of you I,ll tell you in person. Wes Charles just got ingaged to a darling very young looking girl we saw them at the Utah BYU game. We won by about 8 points Go Cougs! Love Mom

Keegan and Soda

This is a picture of Keegan I took a couple months ago. He has a little more hair now. He loves is dog and follows her everywhere!

Some Great Guys!!

I want to give a shout out to Graham, Andy & Todd. Thanks for being amazing Dads & Husbands. You provided Me, Ash & Mar with a kickin' GNO. Outback, BYU B-Ball game, Mar's new hairdo and some late night bloggin'. We got to act like we were 16 again, don't let us get away from our kids too often, it could be trouble!! Thanks You're all the best!!

Glad to be here!

This is such a cool idea! I am so happy to stay a little more caught up on you all. Joce when I read what you have written the first thing I think is how brave you are! You just dive right in and get to it. I admire that. I wish I could give those sweet girls of yours a big hug! They are so fun and sweet. Ali, thanks for your help! Keegan is so much better now I think we got the dose just right. I miss you all so much! I miss all the little ones! Everyday I am influenced by you all. For example a couple days ago I layed Keegan down for his nap and was planning on getting some house work done but then I was feeling so lazy and was just going to lay on the couch and take a nap instead but then I thought of Ash, I think of you often Ash when I see how much cleaning my house needs and how if I were you I would have it done in a flash, any way I didn't take a nap I got to work! Dev I wish I could see you with Alton. He is so cute and I bet you are a wonderful mom. I Love you all and am so happy to be able to participate in this blog with you. Keep well. Jersue

Welcome

School Days

How are all the school girls?? We want to hear all about your first day of school in good ole' Singapore. Lisel and Britta, Cason and Mckay emailed you so check it. I hope all of you are doing well and that you got in your house. We want to see pictures. It sounds like the school is pretty intense, and like any of you Stevens girls need to be any smarter. When you come home your going to have to skip a grade. I just want Joce to know that you are an inspiration to all of your sisters. We all think the world of you. I admire the way you mother your beautiful daughters and the great wife that you are. You are such an example to me and make me want to be better. Your devotion to Spen and your girls is so awesome. I think of you all of the time and how you would handle different situations and try to do it like you would. Thanks for being such a great sister, friend and example. I miss you all so much and can't believe it has only been a week and a day, but I know it will start going by faster. I better get to bed I have Mom and Muffins with the boys at school in the morning at 8 am. Love my fam so much I am so lucky and blessed to be part of such an awesome family!!!!!

Ash with her girls

I'am so glad we got to go to Disneyland it was a blast. Minnie is so cute, and so are all the girls, and one boy. Have a good day at school girls we want to hear all about it. Lisel how is school? I haven't heard from you since you left. Britta is the only one that e-mails me. Hello!!!!!!!!!! She told me that you hate you uniforms and the kakhi shorts are ugly and baggy. And the shirt is big, white and puffy. So in Britta's words it sounds like you look beautiful. Send us a picture of all of you in uniform. Loves Ash
Hey all!! Rees' we were eating dinner tonight at CPK and a lady came over and asked if we were from Salt Lake. She said your not Ashlee's sister are you? Well, it was Rosemary, Todd's aunt. She loves her Toddie! She was so nice and talked to us for a while. She said she thought it must be us because your mom told her we have 5 girls. Anyway, we move in the morning to our new place. We have beds, but nothing else, so it will be interesting. We are borrowing some sheets from the RS pres. We went to the American School today and had a tour. It is so awesome. Brit and Ans are in for sure and Lis will be sure to follow. Lisel already has some friends at school which is no suprise, but her class is way ahead of her in math. She is feeling a little frustrated as she is normally ahead. We are working with her every night, and may need to get her a tutor to get her caught up, but all will be well. We saw a dog that looked like Pippen tonight and the girls petted it and stuff. Then Britta started crying and then Ans, they both had to be cuddled to bed, they miss Pippen and you all so much, but we will get them through. Al, they have awesome Gelato here. We love it. Mand, thanks for the update, I hope you are doing alright. I hope the snow is nice, we swam this afternoon when Lis got home from school and fried. The sun here is potent right on the equator. I would sure love to hear all your boring day to day stuff everyone! Mom, I am glad you are back at your favorite spot, the temple. The girls keep asking how long till you will be here. Do you have your ticket yet? I have an interview with a helper on Sunday. She is friends with Heather's helper. Heather is the neighbor on our street with 5 kids also. She just hired hers. I have been driving the past few days. So weird to be on the other side of the car on the other side of the road. I will get used to it. Keep us in the loop! Love, Joce

Work It!

Hey cute girls

I'm excited for the blog lets have some fun. Hope all is going well in Singapore. Lisel I love you so much and am sad to hear you had a hard time. Stay strong and hope things get better for you. You are a special girl that is loved by all. Talk to you soon.

Sorry Lisel had a hard first day at school

It's always hard when you walk into a new classroom and have no friends. But they will love you when they get to know you. It just takes time. And this experience will make you want to be friend newcomers when you get home and have your group of friends. You will know how the outsiders feel and have compassion for them. That's how Heavenly Father and Jesus want us to be, and you are having a great learning experience to bless your life. And your Nan loves you, cause its hard... Did some beds come to your house? I hope you have beds to sleep in. I am having Julies friend find some poor people over there that we could take newborn or school kits or hygiene kits to. Our dinner was nice at Julie's. they served curry and rice and green bean soup for dessert with coconut milk, it was very good, and the Koreans brought kim bop and kim chi. I brought homemade rolls and a fruit plate. We all got full. Have you adjusted to the time change? How are Terry and Mardeen doing?? Did Spen go to work yet? I went back to my shift at the Temple today, and it was so nice to be back, even with this big boot and crutches. Its so much eazier now that I can put some weight on my leg. I'm just about home free. Love you all mom
